Three pupils from Dowen College, Lekki, have been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command in connection with the killing of Sylvester Oromoni Jnr.
On Tuesday morning, sources close to the family confirmed the news to Newsflash Nigeria.
Three of the five pupils are already in arrest, according to Hakeem Odumosu, the State Commissioner of Police.
Oromoni had named five classmates before his death who he said had attacked him in his dorm room, causing multiple inside injuries on him.
The accused are supporting the police in their investigation, according to the commissioner.
Since the death of the 12-year-old kid, Dowen College in Lekki, Lagos, has been in the spotlight.
The student’s father had previously claimed that his son had been abused and given a liquid chemical to drink.
The school, on the other hand, dismissed the allegation, claiming that he was injured while playing football with his classmates.
Last Sunday, Odumosu ordered a probe into Oromoni’s death, as well as the closure of Dowen College.
A human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, called for a coroner’s inquest into the circumstances surrounding Oromoni’s death on Monday.
