Police Arrest 21 Over Cultism, Kidnapping

Osun State Police Command has arrested 21 youths for alleged involvement in cultism, kidnapping and different crimes.

The Commissioner of Police within the state, CP Wale Olokode, paraded the suspects on the police headquarters in Osogbo, the state capital.

The CP mentioned the suspects have been arrested in Osogbo, Ife and Ikire, explaining that some suspects had been launched when it was clear that they had been wrongly picked and that these arrested have been cultists and kidnappers.

CP Olokode mentioned the suspects can be arraigned in court and warned that police would quickly start to arrest dad and mom of any youth that commits against the law. He stated dad and mom of suspects can be prosecuted together with their kids subsequently.

“Dad and mom are by this directive warned to admonish their kids and wards to desist from felony acts; in any other case, they could be charged alongside for shielding the criminals,” Olokode stated.
