The strategy by the Ogun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to unseat the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2023 has been brushed aside by the ruling party.
The Ogun APC explained the PDP’s threat to shoot over the Ogun governorship seat in 2023 as”daydreaming, infantile political and fancy grandstanding devoid of practical reality.”
It was reported Wednesday that the PDP needed throughout a reunion of Kashamu and Adebutu factions vowed to grab power from the APC in 2023.
But, the APC, in a declaration by its own spokesperson, Tunde Oladunjoye, clarified the reunion as”a charade intended for photo-ops, camera lighting, and cheap marketing”, adding that it was”a belated cry when the head was off”.

The ruling party stated that”the body and soul” of PDP at Ogun had abandoned the party for APC.
“The juggernauts of PDP, the experienced politicians that actually matter, are already with us at APC,” it stated, noting that”those leftovers in PDP are just some remnants clinching to the skeleton of their undercover party”
