Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State on Wednesday, introduced food things to Muslim faithful in Makurdi, the State capital, to allow them to observe the 2021 Eid Al Fitr.
Items presented comprise 1,200 bags of rice, an undisclosed amount of money and other essential items.
Ortom, which was symbolized by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Professor Anthony Ijohor, SAN, throughout the demonstration, said he’s respect for all religious organisations in the nation.

The products were presented to the direction of Jama’atu Nasril Islam, JNI in Makurdi who would further ensure the items are properly distributed to those in need.
Ortom said that preparations were being forced to host the Muslim community that the usual way he does before the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19 imposed new constraints.
The Governor enjoined the Muslim faithful to intensify prayers for peace and security in Benue State and Nigeria at large because they conclude that their Ramadan, stressing that despite safety and economic challenges, there were lots of things to be thankful for.
Obtaining the things, the leader of the Muslim community in the State, Alhaji Garba Baba stated Governor Ortom believes in God and that was why he recalled the Muslim community on the occasion of their 2021 Eid Al Fitr.
