In its efforts to tackle unemployment in the country, the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) yesterday voiced its determination to create prosperity and employment opportunities for Christian youths through ability acquisitions.
The President of PFN, Bishop Wale Oke, made the revelation at a three-day federal leaders’ retreat of their entire body with the theme:’Gideon’s Army’, held in the Global Skills Acquisition Centre (ISAC) at Gora, Nasarawa State.
The resolve came on the heels of this assurance provided by the Chairman of the Centre, Prof. John Kennedy Okpara, who noted that Nigeria was blessed with human and material resources if properly manipulated.
While addressing the participants, Okpara expressed the willingness of his firm to partner with the PFN in training their associates in agricultural-related regions, so as to assist in wealth creation from Christendom and to cushion the effect of the biting market.

Oke, however, in an announcement made available to journalists in Ibadan, Oyo State, yesterday by his media office, voiced concern about the high rate of unemployment among the youths in the property, stating: “To this effect, the PFN has concluded plans to sponsor roughly 200 Christian youths of Pentecostal denominations for its practice and skills acquisition at ISAC.”
While talking further at the event, the cleric declared that the 36 states’ chapters of the Fellowship, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), should forward at least five names each to the PFN Secretariat for training in the CSS Integrated Farms.
He disclosed to participants in the retreat the 10- point agenda of his leadership with an assurance to members that they would be beneficial to the entire body of Christ and the country at large.
