His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), has expressed condolences to the Oyo State government and Muslim communities over the death of Alhaji Sanusi Ojolowo, the Aare Musulumi of Ibarapa Land.
Prince Bashir Adefaka, the sultan of Sokoto’s media team, issued a statement on Friday with the sultan’s condolence message.
The Muslim Ummah of southwest Nigeria (MUSWEN) has expressed its condolences to the deceased octogenarian’s family, the people of his hometown of Tapa, Ibarapa Local Government, Government of Oyo State, and, indeed, the Muslim Ummah of Southwest Nigeria (MUSWEN) over his death.
The sultan expressed his sorrow that the Nigerian Muslim Ummah had lost yet another great philanthropist, who had dedicated his life to benefiting humanity by building and maintaining Allah’s mosques, as well as providing assistance to people of all faiths and tribes, particularly those in Ibarapa Land.

“From the days of the Western Region to now in Oyo and Kwara states, his sincerity and trustworthiness in the discharge of his duty as a reputable Hajj and Umrah operator, which made him the most trusted by especially the Fulani in Ibarapa for the services, was well noted.
“As much as we love him and want to keep him with us in our ongoing peace and unity project for the sake of our great country, there is one thing we haven’t been able to accomplish: stopping Allah’s decision to let him go when his time came. We can only pray to Allah, and we do, for him to accept, forgive, keep, and repose his gentle soul in Al-Jannah Firdauz,” Sultan said.
