Traders, particularly broom sellers, in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi state capital, said Thursday that business was brisk following President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to the state.
Buhari is in the state for a two-day working visit to inaugurate some of the state governor’s projects.
The president will be in town for two days, from May 5 to 6.
The Ecumenical Centre, Sparido Tunnel, Shopping Mall, and International Market are among the projects set to open.

Price increases in broom and foods were discovered during a visit to some markets and streets in the state.
Some of the traders who spoke to the media on Thursday said the visit was a positive step forward for the state and their businesses.
Brooms were sold for N300 a bunch before the visit, according to Joy Onu, a seller at the International Market Abakaliki local government area.
