The bid for freedom by Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, or IPOB, failed.
Kanu’s application for bail was denied by Abuja Federal High Court Justice Binta Nyako.
The IPOB leader asked the court’s approval to overturn the previous decision revoking his bail.

In her decision on Tuesday, Justice Binta Nyako determined that Kanu had not offered enough justification for the court to vacate its order.
As a result, she denied the application on the grounds that it was an abuse of the legal system.
