Michake Ogbar was found guilty of defiling and raping his three daughters, who were then aged 10, 20, and 24, by an Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offenses Court on Thursday. He was given a life sentence.
According to Justice Abiola Soladoye, Mr. Ogbar’s charges of defilement and rape were proven beyond a reasonable doubt by the prosecution.
The prosecution has established its case of defiling and rape in front of this court, according to the evidence that is currently in front of the court.
Given that the burden of proof has been met, the defendant—the father of the three accused—is found guilty of the offence as charged.
She firmly stated, “This is a very sad case.
The man defiled and raped his daughters for years without his wife’s knowledge, the judge said, calling it disheartening.
“Parenthood is being dishonoured by this.

Incest was committed by the defendant when he ravished his own daughters. It’s very perverted and embarrassing.
The defendant is found guilty and given a life sentence on count one, effective immediately.
“He is sentenced to life imprisonment on count two, and life imprisonment on count three,” the judge declared.
The defendant’s name should be entered in the Lagos State Sexual Offenders Register, Ms. Soladoye ordered, and she stated that the sentence would run concurrently.
Six witnesses were called during the trial by the Lagos State Government, which had filed the complaint.
Sections 137 and 258(1) of the Lagos State Criminal Law from 2015 were cited as being violated by the offences.
