President Trump is continuing to improve and will meet with his medical team amid hopes that he will be able to leave the hospital later Monday, White House chief of staff Mark Meadows told Fox News.
“Spoke to the President this morning. He continued to improve overnight and is ready to get back to a normal working schedule. He will meet with his doctors and nurses this morning to make further assessments of his progress,” Meadows said, according to Fox News’ John Roberts. “We are still optimistic that he will be able to return to the White House later today.”

Trump has been receiving treatment at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center since being flown there last Friday from the White House.
He tested positive for the coronavirus on Thursday.
During a briefing outside Walter Reed on Sunday, doctors taking care of Trump said he is responding to treatment and could be discharged on Monday.
- “He has been up and around. Our plan today is to have him eat and drink, be up out of bed,” said Dr. Brian Garibaldi, a member of Trump’s medical team. “If he continues to look and feel as well as he does today, our hope is to plan for a discharge as early as tomorrow to the White House where he can continue his treatment course.”

The president on Sunday left his suite to greet supporters who have been lining the sidewalks outside the Bethesda, Md., hospital, waving “Trump/Pence” and American flags, blasting their car horns and praying for Trump’s speedy recovery.
Wearing a dark mask, Trump rode in the back seat of a black Chevy Suburban to wave to the crowd from the car.
