On Thursday, gunmen suspected of being bandits stormed three villages in Kaduna community, killing 20 people and kidnapping 25 women.
Alhaji Ibrahim Mustapha, a local resident, said on Friday that the bandits stormed the community around 2 p.m., shooting sporadically before fleeing with their victims.
According to him, the bandits, numbering over 19, stormed the communities in a commando-style shooting, leaving the villagers tense.
He claimed that several houses were set on fire.
DSP Mohammed Jalige, the Kaduna State Public Relations Officer, did not respond to his calls seeking confirmation of the incident.
