CAN requires rapid launch of kidnapped Imo Catholic Bishop

The Christian Affiliation of Nigeria (CAN) Imo State chapter has referred to as for the “fast and unconditional” launch of the Auxiliary Bishop of Owerri Catholic Archdiocese, Most Rev Moses Chikwe.

The prelate is believed to have been kidnapped by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers around World Financial institution Space of Owerri, the Imo State capital Sunday night.

He was mentioned to have been kidnapped alongside his driver in his automotive and whisked them away.

It was learnt that hours later, the automobile of the kidnapped Bishop was present at the entrance of Maria Assumpta Cathedral, the archdiocesan headquarters in Owerri.

A press release issued by the Imo State chapter chairman of CAN, Revd. Eches Divine Eches strongly condemned the act and referred to as for the bishop’s protected return to the church.

Eches described the act as “a desecration of the altar of God and we name on the perpetrators to launch him instantly.
