According to the National Health Commission, 54 additional locally-transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases have been recorded on the Chinese mainland, with 25 cases in Beijing, 14 in Inner Mongolia, 13 in Shanghai, and two in Liaoning.
Nine additional locally transmitted cases, eight in Inner Mongolia and one in Shanghai, were re-confirmed as active cases from asymptomatic patients, according to the commission.
No additional deaths have been reported.

Meanwhile, 47 COVID-19 patients, including 31 local and 16 imported patients, have been removed from required medical surveillance, while 6,807 close contacts have been released. Over the previous day, the number of serious cases has increased.
There were 18,953 imported cases in the Chinese mainland, none of which were fatal.
