As reactions to Yul Edochie’s announcement of a second wife and a new son continue to build, his father, veteran Nollywood actor Chief Pete Edochie, has issued an ultimatum.
Pete, who spoke on Wednesday, stated categorically that his son’s newly discovered second wife Judy Austin is not welcome in his home.
Yul recently sparked outrage on social media when he announced Judy as his second wife, following his 17-year marriage to May.

“I want the entire world and Nigerians to understand that as an Igbo man, I never support my son’s actions, and as a statesman, I only recognised his first wife as the only authenticated wife of my son, and the rest is barred from entering my household,” Pete said in response to the saga.
He pointed out that marrying two wives does not make someone a man.
Pete, who has publicly endorsed his son, Yul, for the presidency of Nigeria in 2023, believes that marrying another woman simply means that one is willing to suffer and cause confusion among his generation.
After having four children with his first wife, the veteran actor focused his thoughts on Yul’s second wife and son, whom he was unaware of.
He claims that “from the time Yul was a child, he never listened to him.”

“I’m not surprised he has a son without telling me. A child who does not listen to his father will have a shorter life span.”
Yul and his second wife, Judy Austin, a Nigerian actress, welcomed a son on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, the actor announced the news on his Instagram page, where he shared photos of himself and his newborn son.
