Arsenal legend, Kanu Nwankwo, on Wednesday, revealed that he walked 7km to play football without boots while he was growing up as a teenager in Nigeria.
The former Super Eagles captain disclosed this while advising Nigerian youths not to surrender to their dreams.
According to him, he didn’t rely on the government, including he didn’t quit on his dreams as he put his trust in God.
Kanu spoke during a submit on #EndSARS organised by the Ebonyi State Government in Abakaliki.
He stated, “When Papilo began, I didn’t depend on the federal government. I didn’t have boots to play football,” the former Arsenal ahead stated during the event held in Abakaliki.
