The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced that the registration period for school-based candidates for the 2022 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) has been extended.
The examination body, which announced this in a statement issued by Azeez Sani, Head Information and Public Relations Division, said the registration period, which was originally set to end on Monday, May 30th, 2022, will now end at midnight on Monday, June 20th, 2022.
While NECO has ruled out any further extensions to the registration period, it has urged all relevant stakeholders to use the new registration window to ensure that all eligible students register for the exam.

“State Ministries of Education, Principals, Commandants, and all other stakeholders are reminded that there will be no further extensions.”
“The NECO Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) for 2022 will begin on June 27th and end on Friday, August 12th.
During the examination, candidates will be tested in 76 subjects, according to the statement.
