Nollywood celebrities such as Yul Edochie, Femi Adebayo, and others have praised industry veteran Olu Jacobs on the occasion of his 80th birthday.
Olu Jacobs, who will turn 80 on July 11, 2022, is a veteran actor who has appeared in a number of Nigerian and British drama series and films.
Joke Silva, his actress wife and fellow veteran, hinted at his 80th birthday celebration on her Instagram page by posting a throwback photo of her husband.
On Monday, she captioned the photo, “Who has any idea who this handsome young man is?” Loading for #80thbirthday.”
The photo was later reposted on the elderly actor’s Instagram page.

Several Nollywood stars congratulated Jacobs on their social media pages after seeing her post.
“When I started my acting career in 2005, one of my biggest dreams was to work on set with the Legendary Uncle Olu Jacobs,” Edochie wrote. I finally got that chance several times and learned a lot from him. And for that, I will be eternally grateful.
“I wish you a very happy 80th birthday, Sir. God bless you and keep you. “You are adored by us.”
“On his 80th birthday, I celebrate a living legend of arts and entertainment,” Adebayo wrote on Instagram. Pa Olu Jacobs is an inspiration to many of us who work in the creative industry.
