The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) board member, who has been busy building alliances with some important organs across the world in pursuit of excellence for Nigerian girls soccer, at the weekend revealed that her ambition is to make sure fans regularly add visiting stadiums to watch girls soccer matches in their calendar.
This, she said, could be done by creating a family-friendly atmosphere at match venues across the nation.
Speaking during the just-concluded NWFL/LaLiga Show Another Side Challenge, Falode said her body moved to an alliance with the Spanish LaLiga in its bid to construct a team that was sustainable and offer the players opportunities to enhance their careers.
“Soccer belongs to the fans, and it is crucial to create opportunities and platforms to engage and interact together outside match times.
“The NWFL is building the blocks of confidence of Nigeria’s soccer lovers to purchase into our vision of evolving to a global league manufacturer eventually.
“We won’t get there all at once. It is taken so much for into where we are now, and it will take a lot more to arrive at our destination. That is the reason why it’s important to acquire the cooperation and cooperation of all stakeholders- the fans are a major part of the cooperation.
“One of these collaborations is responsible for this occasion, and with a lot more purposeful relationships like we’ve with LaLiga, we’ll go further towards our objective.”

She thanked the LaLiga for its strategic venture in building the blocks of creating the Nigerian Women Football League a powerful force among women soccer leagues in the world.
Falode said: “In 2018, in a statement signed in Spain by me and the La Liga Women’s Department, La Liga entered a partnership with all the NWFL that permits Nigerian women league winners embark on a tour of Spain, where quality games will be arranged for them to further increase the standard of the game.
“The same arrangement included the institution of a technical partnership with the NWFL to train all coaches at the NWFL Premiership clubs in Advanced Coaching Courses and Seminar aimed at boosting their technical understanding.
All these culminated in the world-class standard of play exhibited by all the teams which qualified for the Super Six in Ijebu Ode.
“The deliberate efforts of La Liga to take Nigerian women’s football league into the pinnacle of the gender game on earth is well appreciated.”
Before, NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, praised Falode and her staff for their consistency and renewed vigour to further develop women’s soccer in Nigeria.
He praised NWFL for showing that it has the capacity to increase the sport to the highest possible level, adding that the body has shown that with dedication and careful planning women football may rise to great heights.
