Terrorists are said to have stormed Kurmin Sata, a few kilometres from Millennium City in the state’s Chikun Local Government Area, killing one person and kidnapping about 20 locals.
The strike happened in the early hours of Saturday, according to a Joint Task Force official who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Four of the twenty people kidnapped by terrorists escaped, according to the official, with two women and two men among those who escaped.
“The local head of the community and a chief were among those taken, according to the official.
“One person was slain, and 20 were taken.” The terrorists were shooting indiscriminately when they rushed the settlement, and one of them was hit by a bullet and died on the scene, according to a JTF official.

According to witnesses, officers from the Millennium division arrived at the location shortly after the event.
As of the time this story was written, the state police headquarters had yet to confirm the attack.
The command’s spokeswoman, Mohammed Jalige, was unavailable for comment when called, and a call to his cellphone was not returned. At the time of filing this article, he has failed to respond to a text message sent to his phone.
