The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has characterised the race for governor of Kaduna state in the 2023 election as a do-or-die contest.
Alhaji Ibrahim Wosono, the state secretary, made this statement to Coalition of Southern Kaduna Young Persons participants who were honouring Isa Ashiru, the party’s flagbearer for the governorship, during Sallah.
“We are prepared and determined to defend our votes because I was detained and assaulted for doing so during the last election. Thus, the election is a “do or die” situation for me personally, he said.
Additionally, the party’s flagbearer asserted that PDP will rescue the state from poor leadership and that, despite all obstacles, the party must triumph in the state’s upcoming elections.
If elected, Ashiru promised the residents of Southern Kaduna that he would lead an inclusive state government.
