2023: Funke Akindele has nothing to offer – APC mocks PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, nominated Funke Akindele to run for deputy governor, according to the All Progressives Congress, APC, Lagso State. This highlights the PDP’s lack of seriousness, according to the APC.

After Funke Akindele confirmed her entry into politics, the party’s spokesman, Mr. Seye Oladejo, made this statement.

By giving electoral tickets to political novices who have nothing to contribute to the discussion, he claimed, the PDP was trivalizing the election.

If they could give the governorship ticket to a member who crossed the carpet a few days before their primaries and then went to the make-believe industry to fetch a deputy, it also indicates a lack of depth in the party’s pool of qualified candidates, according to the speaker.

He made it clear that government was not a circus but rather a serious endeavour.

“I found it amusing to read that the deputy governorship candidate intended to put her acting career on hold in order to focus on the elections, the outcome of which is very likely.

She has been in the news recently for all the wrong reasons, so I guess she is suspending a lot more, he continued.

Residents of Lagos, he said, would not permit the state to become run as an unnecessary experiment in governance.
