In preparation for the 2023 presidential election, House Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila has promised to assist APC presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in finding a strong running mate.
At a celebration for the speaker’s 60th birthday, Gbajabiamila made this pledge in response to Tinubu’s comments.
Gbajabiamila remarked, “You claimed in your address that you had consulted with a younger brother on the WAEC issue many years ago, and that consultation had resulted in something.”

“I’ll say goodbye in my own way. Consultations with your younger brother are once again necessary. You’ll have fun working with your running mate, which I will provide.
As required by the Independent National Electoral Commission, Tinubu had earlier named Ibrahim Kabir Masari as his running mate.
To develop the state and its youth as the foundation of the nation’s human capital, rather than just to play politics, he said, “so that they can use the state resources.”
