According to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), a four-vehicle collision on the Kaduna–Zaria highway on Thursday resulted in nine fatalities and 12 injuries.
According to Hafiz Mohammed, the FRSC Kaduna State Sector Commander, the accident happened at around 5 a.m. on the Rigachikun bridge, close to the National Open University.
“Speeding, improper overtaking, and loss of control led to the collision that involved two DAF trailers, a Toyota bus, and a Toyota Camry.
According to him, the victims suffered fractures, bruises, and head injuries.
According to the sector commander, the St Gerard Hospital and Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital in Kaduna received the injured victims and the bodies.

Mohammed stated that work was still being done to remove the accident-related obstructions.
To protect people and property, he advised drivers to always follow safety regulations.
The sector commander informed drivers on the Kaduna-Zaria highway about the ongoing road work and detours in Kawo, Ragachickun, Mararaban Jos, Birnin Yero, and Jaji.
