APC screening panel clears Jigawa gov, Badaru Abubakar, for presidential primary

The screening committee for the All Progressives Congress (APC) cleared Jigawa State Governor Badaru Abubakar for the party’s presidential primary on June 6.

He was cleared after the panel verified his academic certificates, membership, financial status, and other election requirements, according to a statement released by the governor’s office.

John Odigie Oyegun, the former national chairman of the APC, is the chairman of the screening committee.

Today, the panel is expected to screen all of the APC’s 23 presidential candidates and present its findings to the national convention.
