Bayelsa State Governor Duoye Diri has arrived at the Supreme Court for Justice Mary Ekaego Peter Odili’s retirement court session.
Diri arrived in the Apex Court just after 8 a.m. for a special court session set for 10 a.m.
He arrived at the court with his predecessor, Seriake Dickson, and a retinue of top officials and security officers.
Justice Odili gave the important verdict that ushered in Governor Diri after the election of Mr David Lyon of the All Progressives Congress, APC, was nullified due to inconsistencies in the names and certificate of his deputy.

At the time of writing, the Supreme Court was filled with judges, top attorneys, and government officials who wanted to pay tribute to the famous jurist on her retirement from the Nigerian judiciary.
To prevent security breaches, armed security personnel have been stationed on the court grounds.
