Be thankful bombings do Not happen Every Day, Presidency Informs Nigerians

The Presidency has called on Nigerians to be grateful that bombings no more happen in the nation daily.

Adesina, who’s the President’s most senior press aide, was reacting to the complaints by Nigerians within the increasing insecurity in the nation.

Even the President’s spokesman maintained there was some time at the nation when six bombs go off at one day but because of his chief, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.)

He claimed that killings and bombings are now less common since the nation goes months and weeks with no incident.

Adesina stated this while responding to the five individual incidents of killings which happened in the previous 3 days.

When asked if safety had improved, he said, “Yes, there are instances, a week, two weeks a month which you don’t have these things occurring. There was a time from the immediate ago when they occurred daily a couple of times. You spoke of a single bombing within three or three times. There was a time in this nation when dinosaurs went off like firecrackers daily.

“There might be five, six bombings in 1 day. At this time, you may have two, three weeks without a single instance of the bombing. Let us be grateful for small mercies. Any mercies we get, let us be thankful for this and let’s not dwell on negatives alone.

Life is carrying smooth and rough together. So, occasionally we see when matters go on for days, for months without any negative changes, let us emphasize those … We’ve challenges but these aren’t exactly the constants from the nation.”

When asked when Buhari was in a position to wash out Boko Haram as promised during his campaign, Adesina stated it has to be said that the President made some claims within an opposition figure rather than a government official.

He maintained that the terrorists had been defeated but were still busy in certain regions on a diminished scale.

Adesina noted that the President had stated last week that the security agencies might do better so there’s something that he wishes to see.

He explained the Buhari regime’s credibility is complete.
