Ambassador Chris Giwa of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State has won the party’s ticket to represent Plateau North Senatorial Zone in 2023.
Giwa received 213 votes, defeating his closest rival, Hon. Mafeng Gwalson, who received 150 votes.
Hon. Lumumba Dah Adeh, the third candidate, withdrew from the race before it began.
Hon. Musa Gidado, Chairman of the Electoral Panel, announced the results and urged all candidates to work together to win the secondary election.

In response, Giwa thanked all stakeholders and delegates for their support and promised that he would do everything possible to ensure that the party won the secondary election.
In addition, Gwalson stated that he would collapse his structure for the winner and ensure that he delivered in the secondary polls.
