The stolen mace in the Ogun State House of Assembly was regained at Lagos State, the authorities said on Friday.
According to a statement from the Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command, Muyiwa Adejobi, the mace was retrieved round the Abule Ado region of Lagos.
“The authorities operatives connected to Trade Fair Station of the Lagos State Police Command today Friday 11th December, 2020, recovered the lost mace of the Ogun State House of Assembly in Abule Ado Area of this country at approximately 8.30 am,” the announcement read in part.
