Aminu Tambuwal, the governor of Sokoto State, has withdrawn from the presidential race in 2023.
Tambuwal, who announced his withdrawal from the race at the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) national convention in Abuja, also campaigned for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

Many consider Atiku to be the most likely candidate for the PDP presidential ticket at the convention.
