Green Africa set to take delivery of its first ATR72-600s Aircraft

LAGOS -Among the new airlines experiencing the Air Operators’ Certificate (AOC) procedures together with the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Green Africa, has acquired its first ATR 72.600 aircraft.

The airline in a statement said that the aircraft, which will be among those three would be employed to initiate scheduled flights, making it hoped to begin quite shortly.

The aircraft touched down at the international wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos over the weekend using a water cannon salute from the fire support department of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).

The announcement hinted that the aircraft was the first of those 3 gear currently leased from ACIA Aero Leasing.

Present to Get the aircraft were Mr. Babawande Afolabi; the airline’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Neil Mills; Chief Operating Officer.

The statement said that the founding group comprising Capt. Folu Oladipo; Chief Pilot, Mr. Nathan Smith; Director of Maintenance and Engineering, Mr. Jasmine Dhillon;, Director of Cabin Services Ms. Rebecca Bolarinwa, the Manager of Legal and Regulatory Affairs.

Board members are Mr. Gbenga Oyebode, and anchor institutional investor, Kuramo Capital.

Speaking after the aircraft has been granted water cannon salute, Afolabi described the encounter as a great day for everybody at the airline.
