Gunmen kidnap former Ekiti Chief pharmacist

In Orin-Ekiti and Ido/Osi local government areas on Wednesday, gunmen abducted Mr. Israel Bamisaye, a retired chief pharmacist with the Ekiti Ministry of Health.
A seven-man gang is believed to have abducted Bamisaye from his farm, which was between Ero Dam and the Ekiti State farm settlement in the small town. This information was gathered with confidence.

An unnamed local source told The Nation that the former Chief pharmacist was abducted while working on his farm at around 4 o’clock.
The development, according to the source, has increased anxiety and tension in the community.
According to the source, “the seven gunmen had earlier attacked one man, named Ojo, in the area of the farm where Bamisaye was abducted.”
When the man was asked if he knew where the white men who worked at the farm settlement were, he said he didn’t.

He was instructed to lay on his back. They searched his nearby parked car and stole the N4,500 they found inside.

Before they discovered the victim and quickly removed him, they fired a shot, terrifying the surrounding area.

When contacted to confirm the incident, DSP Sunday Abutu, the police public relations officer for the Ekiti Command, was unavailable.

He didn’t answer any of the calls that were placed to him or leave a message.

Brig Gen. Joe Akomolafe, Commander of the Ekiti State Amotekun Corps, however, confirmed the incident.

In a few words, Akomolafe said, “My men are really working on it, and we are aware of the kidnapping.”
