On Wednesday evening, gunmen suspected of being kidnappers killed a military officer and kidnapped a Lebanese, while his driver was shot dead on the spot.
The incident occurred in Ogbonmo, Ijebu Owo, Owo Local Government Area, Ondo State, when gunmen stopped the Lebanese engineer and whisked him away after killing his driver and a soldier.
According to reports, the gunmen opened fire on the vehicle while the driver attempted to manoeuvre his way out and was fatally shot.

He claimed that the Lebanese security officer assigned to him was also killed before the engineer was removed from the vehicle and taken to an unknown location.
“The man we call white engineer has been kidnapped,” the witness said. His driver and security guard were both killed. To flee the scene, the gunmen fired numerous shots into the air.
Confirming the incident, Funmilayo Odunlami, the state police image maker, said efforts were underway to secure the victim’s release, adding that men from the state command had been dispatched to the area to apprehend the hoodlums.
