Imo: Northern politicians terrorising South East — Biafra group

The Biafra Nations League, BNL, has declared that the unidentified gunmen attacking different locations from the South East are Fulanis being sponsored by some northern political leaders.

According to the group, the patrons are trying to terrorize the South East.

Deputy National Leader of BNL, Ebuta Akor Takon, in a statement on Sunday, said the activities of some of the gunmen were questionable, including that the attacks on stores and banks in Anambra and Enugu were part of the schedule of Biafra liberation.

The BNL lamented that”There’s a plot to blackmail pro Biafra groups,” insisting that the Biafra battle is not about”armed robbery and looting of people’s land.”

According to BNL, “Miyetti Allah who had been threatening to set up 5000 Fulani security operatives to the East have already done that before their announcement”

The team warned that “the violence in the South East and some parts of South-South won’t only affect the Biafra territory but might influence the Arabian middle-belt of the northern part where they are taking refuge and recruitment to launch strikes.”

Reacting to the killing of a commander of the Eastern Security Network, ESN, Ikonso Don yesterday by a joint surgical of the Nigeria Army, Police and the DSS, BNL explained that”It is anticipated, the young man has paid his price for what he believes in, but the killing won’t fix anything”.
