INEC: Senate Reduces Verification of Buhari’s aide, Asks New nominee

“We don’t begrudge her for standing with her conviction. However, from the light of…, she can’t be a National Commissioner for INEC. A nominee can’t profess prejudice for any celebration.

“To prevent heating the Senate along with a probable battle with the Presidency, we chose to resign’ her affirmation.

“This really is a middle-class approach which won’t embarrass both the presidency and the nominee, whose dossiers happen together with all the opposition parties, particularly the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).”

Responding to a query, the Senator said: “I can confidently inform you that our direction has got in contact with the presidency on the conclusion on Onochie. We’ve requested the presidency to forwards a different nominee to us.
