Isah Baba-Buji, a Jigawa All Progressive Congress, APC, delegate, slumped and died while preparing to go to Eagle Square, the venue of the presidential primary in Abuja.
Mr Baba-Buji reportedly died of suspected heart failure on Tuesday morning at the Jigawa State Liaison Office in Abuja.
The deceased was the Assistant APC Chairman in charge of the Jigawa Central Zone.
Bashir Kundu, the Jigawa APC Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident.
“Yes, he died this morning,” he explained. He collapsed at the Jigawa State Liaison Officer in Abuja and was rushed to the hospital, where he died before arriving. When we arrived at the hospital, it was confirmed that he had died. It was reported that he died of heart failure.”
