Keyamo blasts Eedris Abdulkareem over new song jagajaga reloaded

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment Festus Keyamo has explained that his decision of serving at the President Muhammadu Buhari-led authorities was an honour for him to serve his own nation.

Keyamo said this at the weekend when he took a swipe at popular singer and activist, Eedris Abdulkareem.

Abdulkareem, in his new tune,’ Jaga Jaga reloaded’ had disparaged Keyamo, stating”where Festus Keyamo sef? He dons dey chop with cabal o.”

Keyamo took to his Twitter handle and released different private conversations he had with Abdulkareem and how he allegedly begged for cash.

He described the singer’s act as cheap blackmail after the latter did not succeed in extorting him and other top government functionaries.

In accordance with Keyamo: “Eedris Abdulkareem just released a song,’jagajaga reloaded’, where he waxed the following lyrics,” where Festus Keyamo sef?

“I laughed out so loud and danced to the rhythm also. But there’s a small story behind this bad attempt at blackmail.

“In 2018, when I was named the Manager of Strategic Communications for its Buhari Campaign Organisation Eedris waxed a tune in support of Buhari & wished to join us for a fee. Then he made desperate efforts to see me through text messages from his telephone no. 07019691772.

“When I eventually met with him, I listened to the tunes but told me I had no budget for any for that matter.

“I explained that my job was voluntary. This was the same thing I told many other so-called activists-by-day-and-hustlers-at-night who approached me,” he explained.

Keyamo said Abdulkareem then switched into the fact that he wanted a loan to cover his hotel bills to the tune of N1.3m & to appeal for his sick mum,’ saying”that was already running into more than N3m. However, one govt functionary called me to say he told him another story his child was ill.

“He begged me to introduce him to Malami (AGF), Amaechi and also the SGF and to paint a great’PR’ for him. He pledged that he was in the campaign with his whole body and soul’. But at this point, I knew he was a distressed hustler who could embarrass me, therefore that I ghosted him”

Keyamo added: “Shortly following this episode when he couldn’t penetrate the system to get the cash he so desperately desired, he subsequently endorsed Atiku and known as Buhari a’fraudster’. However, we made a decision to ignore his feeble voice of opposition.

“After our success, he went berserk and united each protest against the exact same Buhari whom he wanted to serve with his entire body and soul’, but needed money to achieve that. He’s been mentioning my name specifically at times like I am the cause of his problems in life”

“His reference to me as chopping reminds me of this gaffe of then Minister Sunday Afolabi who infamously said Bola Ige was invited to Govt to chop and come’!

“I wish to guarantee Eedris and any who think being in Govt is relegated to chopping, that for some of us (I can’t talk for others) it is merely an honour to serve our country and an effort to move from armchair criticism into some true participant so as to make a difference.

“Ultimately, we could all sit back and enjoy the jagajaga reloaded’. One of the aims of the song would be to phone me out because I ghosted him for attempted extortion — he’s now succeeded. Another objective is to help promote the tune by my response — that he’s also achieved.
