Kidnapped DELSU student released after payment of N3m ransom

Chris Oghojafor, a kidnapped Delta State University (DELSU) student, has been released by his kidnappers.

After paying N3 million, he was released on Monday.

On Friday, April 22, 2022, Oghojafor, an Industrial Chemistry student, was kidnapped, according to reports.

After kidnapping him, his kidnappers demanded a ransom of N50 million, which was later reduced to N3 million.

The victim’s father, Jospeh Oghojafor Esq, confirmed his son’s release.

“Chris Oghojafor, who was abducted in Abraka by Fulani herders on Friday evening, has just been released,” he said. God be praised.”

The student was released by the railway near Ugolo-Orogun in the State’s Ughelli South Local Government Area.

When contacted for comment, DSP Bright Edafe, the State’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), did not pick up the phone.
