In captivity, a terrorist attack on a train headed for Kaduna resulted in the shooting of one of the passengers.
The shooting of passenger Mohammed Al’amin was reportedly revealed by a terrorist negotiator.
Tukur Mamu, a publisher who is in negotiations with terrorists, said: “I can confirm to you that the said passenger has been shot and the information is credible.”
About 970 passengers were shot at by terrorists in March after they detonated explosives on the Abuja-Kaduna train.
Following the suspected detonation of explosives on the rail track close to the state’s Rigasa region, the train headed for Kaduna derailed.

About 30 minutes after leaving the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja’s Idu Train Station, the 6:00 p.m. train struck the explosive device between the Katari and Rijana communities in Kaduna.
Many others were abducted, while some passengers were shot dead. 11 of the passengers were facilitated earlier release by Mamu.
Since then, the terrorists have made videos threatening to kill the kidnapped people if the government is unable to come to a compromise.
Mamu claims that the killing of the passenger was done to send a message to the Nigerian government, even though it is unknown what the government is doing to free the kidnapped people.
Additionally, they might have intended to send a message with their actions. It is well known that they are capable of killing their victims. According to Mamu, they have previously threatened to do that.
Mamu reports that the condition of Al’amin is critical at the moment.
Even though there has been communication, according to Mamu, President Muhammadu Buhari must be ready to accept full responsibility if they fail to act quickly and drive the terrorists to the brink of annihilation.
Since I am aware of the nature of the situation, Mamu continued, “If they are truly committed to keeping these innocent victims alive, President Buhari must be prepared to make difficult concessions.”
The government has the ability to put an end to this within three to four days thanks to the things we were able to accomplish, the doors and opportunities we opened that weren’t there before.

“I reassure them that we can do it with their help and cooperation, and if it doesn’t, as long as the government takes the necessary action, I will agree and accept to bear full responsibility. There is no need for needless bureaucracy in an emergency like this.
Last week, Buhari declared that he had “directed our security and intelligence agencies to scale up and speed up efforts to secure the safe release of all the remaining abducted Abuja-Kaduna train passengers.
“My order is crystal clear: Every hostage must be returned home as soon as humanly possible and ALIVE.
“I appreciate the recently released passengers’ safe return to their families and close friends. I am reiterating my solemn promise to the families of the hostages who are still being held captive: we won’t give up until every single hostage is back in their families’ safe homes.
