Nobody can annex Rivers to get secessionist schedule, Wike insists

Governor Nyesom Wike, meanwhile, declared that nobody can annex Rivers State to market their secessionist agenda, since it remains a sovereign condition, however hard they try, hinting that Rivers people are behind the state authorities.
Wike stated this when conventional rulers, political and opinion leaders of Ekpeye nationality visited him at Government House, Port Harcourt, stressing that those driving the hospitality of their state to conceal their secessionist agenda should take their actions elsewhere.

He said his administration would leave no stone unturned to safeguard the nation and its people against those who think they could annex the state by incorporating it into their separatist agenda.

“Rivers State doesn’t belong to some other location. It is a sovereign state and therefore, nobody can convince us that we are with them. I will not permit anybody to visit Rivers State and tell us that we are part of these, and we’ll do everything possible to protect our interest.

“We really are a friendly people. We will allow anybody to conduct business, but nobody ought to go beyond performing business to hoist unnecessary flags here. We won’t take that.”

The governor advised Ekpeye individuals to not leave anything to chance anymore, yet to remain vigilant and to understand what happens around and inside their communities.

And as part of steps to curb criminality from Ahoada West and Ahoada East councils, Wike revealed that he had placed a bounty on two infamous gang leaders specifically: VIP and Comasi working in that axis of the nation.
