Nigerian R&B singer, Aituaje Iruobe aka Waje has shown that not being in love for quite some time prompted her most recent body and Extended Project (EP) branded Heart Season.
In her Instagram live with her fans lately, when asked what inspired her EP, the only mother said”When you do not have love in your life and you’re praying for this, it’ll be inspiring to you. I am sure the day that love will come today, the inspiration will go away since there will be other hurdles, so allow me to enjoy this space today. It’s the notion of being in love that inspired Heart Season. I haven’t been in love for quite a while, I can not actually remember,” explained Waje.
When further asked why she hadn’t been in love for a while, the 40-year-old singer said”I am in love with my daughter”

Disclosing the reason for the option of an EP within a record four years after her previous recorded Velvet,”’ that the Coco Baby singer said”I simply felt I have so much content and discharging them in albums will just be like, you know how we creatives get, sometimes we are in a place in terms of sound and message and then when we are done with this we move on to the next one so that I only say let me just keep releasing. I believed that since that whole me stating I had been leaving the industry I hadn’t really done anything which will create that source of impact and I just needed to showcase the music I was doing.”
Back in March 2019, Waje made public her intentions to contemplate quitting music due to insufficient support towards her songs and in April the exact same year she co-produced a movie,’ She Is,’ together with her best buddy Omawunmi.
