Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp, has confirmed that midfielder, Naby Keita, will take no part in the team’s squad to face RB Leipzig in the Champions League last-16 first-leg tie at Puskás Aréna in Hungary on Tuesday night due to lack of match fitness.
Klopp, who disclosed this on Monday during his pre-match press conference, said Keita has returned to training after recovering from an injury.
According to him, the Guinean international will instead remain in England to continue to increase his sharpness.

Keita, a former RB Leipzig player, has not featured for Liverpool since starting the win at Crystal Palace last December.
“Naby is no longer injured, but he’s not fit yet,” Klopp was quoted by Liverpool’s official website as saying.
“He was in training yesterday, but it’s not sufficient yet.
“We will be away for two days, and he will be in training; it’s better than flying with us. Of course, Naby would have liked to be there when it’s against Leipzig.”
Liverpool head to the game after losing 3-1 against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium last Saturday.
The kick-off time for the RB Leipzig vs Liverpool is 9 pm.
