The House of Representatives on Wednesday urged President Muhamadu Buhari to get foreign mercenaries to help in the fight against insurgents.
The House on Wednesday made the decision following a motion moved by Abdulkadir Rahis from Borno State on the recent spike in Boko Haram’s assaults on Maiduguri.
A modification by Mansur Sorro from Bauchi State urged the federal government to adopt using foreign fighters.
It would be recalled that governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State had on two occasions called for using foreign mercenaries. The governor raised the issue simply last week throughout the NorthEast governors forum.

“The assault was one of the daring because the terrorists indiscriminately launched rockets into the city which inflicted mass destruction on the populace,” he said.
