Transfer: Saka doubles wages in new contract as Chelsea fails in £60m bid for attacker

Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka will double his weekly wage of £70,000 after dropping the biggest hint that he will extend his contract at the Emirates.

According to talkSPORT, negotiations are still ongoing, but despite the interest of Liverpool, Manchester City, and Manchester United, the Gunners remain confident.

When asked about his manager’s remarks, Saka responded, “Yes, I share his confidence.”

When pressed for more information, the forward simply stated, “I share that confidence, that is all.”

Chelsea’s attempts to sign Everton midfielder Anthony Gordon have failed, as the 21-year-old will remain at Goodison Park despite repeated offers from the Blues.

The Blues are believed to have offered around £60m for the youngster, but Frank Lampard has said the deadline has passed to sell him.
After his side drew 1-1 with Leeds on Tuesday, Lampard said: “I’m very confident he’ll be our player. Deadline to decide to sell him has passed.

“He’s too important a player, he’s shown his worth. What good does it do us to do anything with Anthony now?”
