We are coming after you, Chief of Air Staff warns bandits

The Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Isyaka Amao, has assured Nigerians of the readiness of the navy to deal decisively with bandits, kidnappers and other criminals across the nation.

Amao who was on an operational visit to the Nigerian Air Force Base in Kaduna stated on Wednesday that the army would take care of all criminals terrorising the people.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that during the maiden operational visit, the CAS additionally paid a courtesy visit to Gov. Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State.

“Our officers and men are ready for the battle against bandits and kidnappers,” he stated, including that the visit was mainly to evaluate the operational readiness of the personnel.

He said that President Muhammadu Buhari had ordered the navy to make sure that people go freely to their farms during the rainy season without any security threat.

“We’re working towards that in synergy, the platforms are prepared for the operations and we’re liaising with the Military and other ground troops for the operations.

“My message to bandits is that we’re coming after them together with the Military, Navy and other security agencies to make sure they’re flushed out of the country”, Amao mentioned.

He said that the welfare of the NAF personnel can be accorded full priority, to ensure motivation and diligence in the discharge of their duties.

“Welfare entails providing the personnel with equipment, conducive training environment and where they live and to make sure they’re given their entitlements”, he mentioned.

The CAS, therefore, charged the personnel on loyalty, dedication and self-discipline within the discharge of their constitutional duties.

Earlier, the Air Officer Commanding Air Training Command, AVM Jackson Yusuf stated the visit could be a morale booster to the command and would guarantee more successes within the combat towards insecurity.
