A PAN-Ohanaeze Ndigbo socio-political firm, Seminar of Igbo Professionals Worldwide (COIPOW), has started intensive campaigns, meetings, and even lobbying to make sure that the Southeast generates the president in 2023.
The team slammed the creation of a security outfit from the pioneer of proscribed Indigenous individuals of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, saying that the move would hamper the strategy since most leaders would view it in a poor light and draw their support.
The announcement reads: “We thank crucial Igbo leaders that attended that our crisis assembly in Awka, Anambra State, in which we deliberated and consented to push for president at 2023.
“Here is a certain thing to do, rather than the manner Kanu wants. The gunpoint strategy by Kanu isn’t the way outside, and he has to be informed so.
“Igbo men and women deserve the presidency at that time. They’ve all it takes to create the third president, and that’s what we ought to be pushing for today with a single powerful voice within unity and sincerity of purpose.
“We can’t be rough for president one hand and encouraging IPOB on the opposite hand. Nobody will take us severely if we don’t take urgent actions to put the record straight by denouncing IPOB, its patrons, and creator.
Forming this militia group once we should be viewed as calm and law-abiding isn’t the very best. Let it be understood that IPOB and ESN don’t possess our blessings and certainly will never do.
