Tears as Borno conducts mass burial for 43 Murdered by Boko Haram

It was a gloomy day in Zabarmari village since tens of thousands of residents from the rice-producing community situated in Jere Local Government Area of Borno State assembled to spoil the 43 corpses of farmers which were slaughtered the prior moment.

Borno State governor, Babagana Zulum, directed other leading members of the administration to attend the burial which happened in Zabarmari. “We are here in order to sympathise with all the people of Zabarmari within this sad event,” he explained. PREMIUM TIMES Saturday reported at least 40 rice farmers had been beheaded while functioning in their farms.

Mourners heaved 43 corpses to nine mass graves, with each one featuring a mean five corpses of the murdered farmers, following an Islamic funeral attended many tearful mourners.
