    “Mr Keller had obviously violated the presumption of innocence and damaged the standing of the FIFA President, against his private rights protected under law enforcement,” it said in a statement.

    The Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has Accepted the upgrading of the Marhai Forest Reserve, in the Wamba Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, to a National park. Conservator-General and Chief Executive Officer, National Park Services, NPS, Ibrahim Goni, revealed this while on a courtesy call on the Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, in the Government House, in Lafia that the State Capital.

    Goni further revealed that President Buhari declared the upgrading of another 9 forest reserves throughout the nation, from the 23 earlier requested.”

    I’m visiting Your Excellency, to convey to you, the President’s acceptance for the upgrading of this Marhai forest book to some national park,” he stated.

    Based on Goni, in 2013, the Nasarawa State government, along with other 22 states, asked for the upgrading of this Marhai forest reserve, following which President Buhari approved the upgrading of ten forest reserves throughout the nation.

    Directive

    The Conservator-General explained that “the approval came with a presidential directive for the National Park Services to participate the benefiting states, to set up modalities for the smooth handing and take over of the new federal parks.”

    Goni equally asked for the immediate setting up of a deadline, involving representatives from the State Government, to fine-tune modalities for the handing over of the Marhai Forest Reserve into the NPS.

    The Governor said; “Since its beginning, his government was encouraging the Farin Ruwa tourism potentials, with the State government constructing the 15-km Sisin Baki/ Farin Ruwa road to open the region.”

    Governor Sule equally appreciated the NPS because of its recommendations and for recognising these hidden resources belonging to the nation.

    “Since this government came in, we have been doing everything possible to promote that park…We have invited many personalities, including a delegation headed by the Minister of Information, Tourism, and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, to come along and project the park,”

    The Governor noted. Governor Sule was optimistic that its transformation into a national park, the Marhai Forest Reserve, will certainly lead to additional national parks in the nation due to its natural endowment, particularly attracting tourists. He expressed confidence that at the end of the day, host communities bordering the park, would be beneficial in terms of employment, among others.

    “He begged me to introduce him to Malami (AGF), Amaechi and also the SGF and to paint a great’PR’ for him. He pledged that he was in the campaign with his whole body and soul’. But at this point, I knew he was a distressed hustler who could embarrass me, therefore that I ghosted him”

    Keyamo added: “Shortly following this episode when he couldn’t penetrate the system to get the cash he so desperately desired, he subsequently endorsed Atiku and known as Buhari a’fraudster’. However, we made a decision to ignore his feeble voice of opposition.

    “After our success, he went berserk and united each protest against the exact same Buhari whom he wanted to serve with his entire body and soul’, but needed money to achieve that. He’s been mentioning my name specifically at times like I am the cause of his problems in life”

    “His reference to me as chopping reminds me of this gaffe of then Minister Sunday Afolabi who infamously said Bola Ige was invited to Govt to chop and come’!

    “I wish to guarantee Eedris and any who think being in Govt is relegated to chopping, that for some of us (I can’t talk for others) it is merely an honour to serve our country and an effort to move from armchair criticism into some true participant so as to make a difference.

    “Ultimately, we could all sit back and enjoy the jagajaga reloaded’. One of the aims of the song would be to phone me out because I ghosted him for attempted extortion — he’s now succeeded. Another objective is to help promote the tune by my response — that he’s also achieved.

    Kogi First Lady to host BON Awards book reading to join winners

    As part of these activities leading to the annual Best of Nollywood (BON) awards, the First Lady of Kogi State, Rashida Yahaya Bello will join past winners to see to children on May 27.

    The board and organizers of BON awards announced during the week in Lokoja, Kogi state after a trip to the first lady. The organizers also mentioned that the publication reading will be hosted at the State House at Lokoja.

    Others comprise Gbenga Adeyinka, Fathia Williams, Adebimpe Oyebade, Biola Adebayo, and Efe Irele.

    The BON publication reading is an event held for children in the year’s host country for those awards.

    Asides from the fact it is the first time after the COVID-19 pandemic that BON awards are hosting a reading, the event, as usual, is scheduled to coincide with the 2021 Children’s Day party.
